The Parenting With Intent program is designed to guide parents of young children in developing intentional strategies for teaching appropriate behavior. The curriculum and program were created to encourage parents to look beyond the short-term goal of managing behavior in order to embrace the larger picture of raising responsible people. Through this four-week course, parents begin to understand why a particular response or technique is used when helping children learn boundaries and expectations.
Parenting With Intent incorporates both direct instruction and group processing when addressing important questions such as, why do children behave the way that they do? When we begin to understand behavior, how do we respond with intention? What are we teaching our children when we provide them with boundaries and structure?

Parents involved in this program are likely to enjoy the following benefits in their home:
effective, positive discipline methods and techniques
a better understanding of childhood behavior
increased success in teaching new behaviors
decreased levels of parental stress and frustration
a better ability to instill confidence and self-worth in your children and yourself as a parent

The Parenting With Intent four-week introductory course can be completed individually or in a group setting. After completing this course, in-home family support and behavior management is also available.
